Financial Advisors in North Shore, Sydney
Being local, we understand that it’s important to have someone to rely on to answer the phone and meet in person, and not be bowled over with industry jargon. Everyone’s situation is different, which is why our service is personalised and tailored for the greatest benefit and peace of mind.
I’d like to start by saying thank you for taking the time to visit our website to find out more about our company and how we can help you.
I really love the ongoing relationships I am able to build as part of my role as a financial advisor.
Meeting with interesting people every day, helping to avoid risk, and navigating you through a complex financial world is what I enjoy doing most.
I have had a strong interest in economics and finance since the early 1990's which has formed the foundation of my professional life as a financial advisor.
The knowledge I gained studying my Financial Economics degree has given me a foundation of understanding that helps me to build and monitor investment portfolios.
As a financial adviser, I need to constantly keep on top of legislation and the changing dynamics of domestic and international markets.
I do this by monthly ‘Continuous Professional Development’ learning and also by engaging in courses specific to financial advisers.
In 2017 I finished my CFP ® (Certified Financial Planner) which is seen as an education benchmark for Financial Advisers.
I count myself lucky to live in a great part of Sydney with my wife Lorraine and 2 daughters.
You may bump into me walking the dog, on the football pitch playing for the Wahroonga Over 35’s, or at a local golf club.
Can’t see the forest for the trees? There are many different aspects to our personal finances. Do you have the time and expertise to focus on them all whilst also managing your big picture?
My passion is to help bring all your personal financial objectives (super, investments, tax, insurance, budget) into a down to earth strategy to improve your short term, and keep you on track for the long term.
Since 2001, working in the financial services industry, I have gained solid strategic, technical and product knowledge around various financial strategies for all stages of life.
Experience gained in various roles within Wealth and Insurance companies, a big bank, as well as boutique advice firms, have given me a depth of industry knowledge and insight.
With many years as a Financial Adviser I appreciate that we all have different needs and wants in life, and therefore each of my clients has a strategy and service tailored specifically to them.
However, common goals such as more tax effective strategies, being more active with superannuation and investments, protecting family and wealth, and having confidence that everything is going to be ok, all form the foundation of advice to ensure we plan for the future whilst enjoying life along the way.
I value my clients and always have their best interests at heart. I will make the slightest change to a strategy if I believe the outcome is beneficial. This is made easier by not being tied down to a bank’s restrictive product base, but rather having many strategies and products available.
I am happy to be up to date with the latest education requirements (I have my Master of Financial Planning). However, ongoing professional development, seminars, and targeted learning helps me keep up to date with legislation, markets, economics, strategies and products.
On a more personal note, I live in Narrabeen with my beautiful wife Andrea. We enjoy our weekends away and holidays when we can. We love living by the beach whilst also having an endless supply of bushwalks nearby. No less importantly, I’ll get out for a round of golf any chance I get.
They say in life that if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.
Financial planning is about helping you understand where you are now, where you’re heading and the options you have to help improve your financial circumstances both now and in the future.
Whether it’s tax minimisation strategies, making your money work harder for you, maximising government entitlements or protecting your wealth and family from life’s curve balls, I am here to help you set a clear path to help you achieve your long term financial goals.
With over 12 years experience in financial services and a passion for helping others you can rest assure you’re in good hands.
Your first meeting is complimentary so book your appointment today and be confident about your financial future.
I consider myself lucky to have fallen into this profession, as it so closely aligns to the person that I am. In my personal circles, I am very much the confidant, support and sounding board that helps get through lifes’ challenges.
This is why I’m passionate about Financial Planning and how it can change the lives of ordinary Australians. I get a great sense of satisfaction by first helping my clients understand their needs, goals and objectives and then formulating a strategy, in line with their values.
I have completed my Master of Financial Planning and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, which is considered the highest industry standard. I strive to continue to grow my knowledge and experience to be able to provide the highest quality of advice, in the best interest of my clients’, by working with them and adapting along the journey. I put my clients first in everything I do, by listening to them and their concerns and ensuring I understand them.
I am motivated by the peace of mind I am able to give my clients and the joy they feel of knowing their goals are attainable.
Eric joined Forest Wealth in 2020 in a Client Services role and brings with him many years of experience in the client and supplier liaison fields after extensive management roles in both Australian publishing and Tourism fields.
Our clients will generally hear from him when current policies are coming up for renewal or if we have need to contact our clients with news regarding their policies.
He is the conduit to our advisers and will ensure that we listen to your individual requirements regarding policy structures and your ongoing financial advice requirements.
